Financial Fraud Product Manager

Guardian Analytics is seeking a product manager to deliver the best-of-class financial fraud detection platform based on machine learning & behavioral analytics technology. As the product manager of the fraud detection platform, you will work closely with UX designers, software engineers and data scientists to create product experience that enables our customers to investigate financial fraud activities with ease efficiency. Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute fraud detection solution product roadmap.

Backend Software Engineer

Guardian Analytics is seeking a Backend Software Engineer. Our behavioral analytics / machine-learning platform is the leader in providing Fraud Detection and Anti-Money Laundering solutions. We currently have close to 400 Financial Institutions as customers.
The position can be based in Mountain View, CA or Utah and reports to the Senior Director Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical lead for complex backend services
  • Work closely with Architects to address complex software/system architecture issues
  • Bridge the gap between high-level architecture and the detailed solutions design input needed to deliver product
  • Work closely with operations to develop the most optimal system architecture/deployment design for core platforms
  • Jump in and solve complex technical problems and design issues
  • Drive adoption of advanced cloud-based features and capabilities where it makes sense
  • Interact with development teams providing mentoring and guidance (through code reviews, design reviews, best practices and technical vision) while being still very hands-on and capable of deep diving into implementation details
  • Drive CI/CD capabilities to achieve continuous deployment

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing using Agile methodologies
  • Experience working on large scale, complex applications
  • Experience with REST API development
  • Expert-level knowledge of Java
  • Expertise in making step-function improvements in performance and scale of platforms
  • Excellent teamwork and communication
  • Ability to gain alignment across cross-functional boundaries
  • Ability to challenge the norm and maturity to advocate for changes for the greater benefit of the business
  • Proven ability to take the product through all stages of development from concept to launch at scale
  • BA/BS Degree in technical field

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience with Python
  • Development experience with front end tools/frameworks (React, JS, etc.)
  • Experience deploying products on AWS
  • Should work well with cross functional teams on resource and work planning to ensure development goals are met
  • Communicate project status and progress to multiple audiences (project team, management, etc.)
  • Team player with strong, resilient personality that will bring innovative ideas/perspective to the table and drive for results
