Software Engineer (Backend)

Guardian Analytics is seeking a Backend Software Engineer. Our behavioral analytics / machine-learning platform is the leader in providing Fraud Detection and Anti-Money Laundering solutions.
The position can be based in Mountain View, CA or Sandy, Utah and reports to the Senior Director Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical lead for complex backend services
  • Work closely with Architects to address complex software/system architecture issues
  • Bridge the gap between high-level architecture and the detailed solutions design input needed to deliver product
  • Work closely with operations to develop the most optimal system architecture/deployment design for core platforms
  • Jump in and solve complex technical problems and design issues
  • Drive adoption of advanced cloud-based features and capabilities where it makes sense
  • Interact with development teams providing mentoring and guidance (through code reviews, design reviews, best practices and technical vision) while being still very hands-on and capable of deep diving into implementation details
  • Drive CI/CD capabilities to achieve continuous deployment

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing using Agile methodologies
  • Experience working on large scale, complex applications
  • Experience with REST API development
  • Expert-level knowledge of Java
  • Expertise in making step-function improvements in performance and scale of platforms
  • Excellent teamwork and communication
  • Ability to gain alignment across cross-functional boundaries
  • Ability to challenge the norm and maturity to advocate for changes for the greater benefit of the business
  • Proven ability to take the product through all stages of development from concept to launch at scale
  • BA/BS Degree in technical field

Director of Customer Enablement

Guardian Analytics is seeking a Director of Customer Enablement for our team. Our behavioral analytics / machine-learning platform is the leader in providing Fraud Detection solutions.

The position is based in Mountain View and reports to the Vice President of Cloud Operations and Security.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-touch communications to enterprise customers as well as regular general communications across broader Guardian Analytics customer base.
  • Produce a consistent stream of eLearning, Instructor-led Training, and technical documentation for the company’s customer base including proper usage of our current and new product offerings. Manage a small but growing P&L for Training.
  • Bring thought leadership, an entrepreneurial spirit, and best practices to the Customer Enablement organization.
  • Lead the Technical Support team in addressing customer issues according to the company’s specified Service Level Agreements.
  • Drive improvements with channel partners support organizations, resulting in lower ticket volumes per customer and increased customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years of customer engagement experience in Fraud Management, Account Management, Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales, or Professional Services in a banking or technology company.
  • Strong verbal and written communications, including the ability to effectively communicate with customer and internal leadership and end users.
  • Exposure to creating and conducting training for external and internal users for technical or banking applications and/or products.
  • Background in creating Technical Documentation for applications and\or products.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering Statistics or an equivalent field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior leadership of teams in Fraud Management, Account Management, Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales, or Professional Services in a banking or technology company.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.
  • Prior ownership of a departmental or enterprise P&L.
  • Self-motivated individual who requires minimal supervision.
  • Resourceful, persistent, flexible, and adaptable team player.
