Jr. Systems Engineer

You will be a member of the Guardian Analytics Cloud Operations team which is responsible for managing all aspects of our secure Software as a Service (SaaS) infrastructure and application environments. This position will work closely with our Customer Support, Professional Services, and Engineering teams to deploy new application releases and integrate customers into our SaaS platform while developing processes, tools and operational metrics to improve system and process performance, scalability, functionality, and security. The position is based in Mountain View Office.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have a broad technical background, understand existing scripts in addition to developing new scripts, excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to delivering quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and maintain product releases, customer instances and configurations
  • Maintain and implement scaling of the Guardian Analytics SaaS infrastructure
  • Develop scripts, metrics, and applications to automate and improve operational processes, availability, scaling, and security of the production environment
  • Maintain development, management, and monitoring systems

Technical Requirements:

Customer Onboarding Business Process Analyst

We are looking for a Business Process professional to build and deliver a successful product adoption process for our customers.  The goal of this service is to help the Guardian Analytics customer understand and implement the process changes necessary to ensure successful usage of the Guardian Analytics solutions.  The candidate will work with the customer to ensure successful product adoption. The candidate needs to thrive in a dynamic work environment, be self-motivated, and have exceptional time management skills.

As a Customer Onboarding Business Process Analyst you will analyze the customer’s existing business processes, understand the changes required to introduce Guardian Analytics’ solutions, help the customer document those changes, and leave the customer with the artifacts necessary to ensure continued success. You will be responsible for constructing new process documents, building a product usability process, and helping the customer understand the required process changes. This role reports to the Director, Customer Services and is located in our Mountain View Office.

What you’ll do: As a Customer Onboarding Business Process Analyst your essential duties and responsibilities:

          • Build materials that can be re-used with each new deployment to help our customers successfully introduce Guardian Analytics into their existing business processes
          • Interview customers during the implementation to understand their existing business process
          • Help customers introduce process changes through their change management processes to ensure successful introduction of the Guardian Analytics solutions
          • Facilitate implementation of new processes through training sessions and the development of appropriate documentation
          • Develop post-implementation verification plans in partnership with the Customer Success team

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following:

          • Minimum 5 years of experience performing business analysis in enterprise environments
          • Minimum 5 years of proven ability to conduct accurate analysis, solve problems, assess capabilities, conduct process change planning, and manage process development and execution through change management
          • Minimum 5 years of experience developing Process Flows, Use Cases and related deliverables
          • Self-starter with a unique blend of creative problem solving, business sense, and analytical aptitude
          • Effective oral and written communication skills.

 

 

Preferred Skills:

          • A 4-year degree in business, MIS, computer science, engineering or equivalent is recommended but can be substituted for substantial on the job experience
          • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task

The Sales Engineer is a key member of our sales team and responsible for delivering compelling sales presentations and demonstrations of Guardian Analytics solutions as well as managing the discovery, evaluation and solution value stages of our sales process. Working in conjunction with sales leadership and the sales team as the key a trusted advisor to our client base. The Sales Engineer must be able to effectively engage our stake holders in a wide range of discussions including Guardian Analytics solution and technology benefits, FI industry fraud best practices as well as technical aspects of enterprise cloud deployments including data security, privacy and web services integrations. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our direct and channel sales teams to execute the technical aspects of the sales process
  • Work with customers to develop pre-sales technical solutions in coordination with Guardian professional services team

Requirements

Data Scientist

Guardian Analytics is seeking engineers, mathematicians/statisticians, and computer scientists to develop, analyze and program cutting-edge algorithms based on Bayesian statistical modeling that will be at the core of Guardian Analytics fraud prevention applications.   Our behavioral analytics / machine-learning platform is the lead in providing Fraud Detection solutions. You will extend, develop, program and implement new algorithms and underlying mathematical theory, and use your analytics skills to help design and implement core components of our algorithms and models. You can have a daily, direct impact on the continued evolution of our innovative products.

The position is based in Mountain View and reports to the VP of Analytics.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Ph.D. in Statistics, CS, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines with focus on machine learning, mathematical algorithms, probability, and statistical modeling
  • Interest in Big Data and the associated methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience in algorithm development and statistical analysis of massive datasets, or equivalent coursework
  • Desire to balance theory with pragmatic problem solving skills to develop and apply advanced algorithms to real world problems and data
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis, visualization, and data mining tools such as R (strongly preferred) or MATLAB
  • 1-2 years of scripting experience ( Python, Perl), writing SQL queries and working databases (MYSQL preferred). Software programming skills in Java or C++ a plus.

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

You will have a key role in designing, building, testing and automating an integrated QA process to ensure Guardian Analytics’ analytics-based fraud prevention applications are released to market on time and with a high standard of quality. Working through backend server side applications (Java, Python, Message Queues) on Linux/AWS to the persistent storage (MySQL) your mission will be to define and execute an overall QA methodology that results in a high level of satisfaction for our customers. The position is based in Mountain View.

Responsibilities:

          • Define and develop test cases; perform hands-on test execution.
          • Design, automate and execute backed server application tests to support multiple data collecting/processing platforms.
          • Integrate automated tests in continuous integration environment (Jenkins).
          • Contribute to product design to ensure testability and robustness of products and features.
          • Participate in the Agile Sprints to deliver quality products to serve our customers interest and build valuable Guardian Analytics solutions.
          • Work with database and application developers to design and execute performance, load balance and stress testing.

 

Qualifications:

          • BS/MS in CS or equivalent with at least 10+ years of software quality assurance experience testing and releasing mission critical enterprise applications, particularly backend server tests in Linux environments.
          • 3+ years of test automation experience for server applications (non UI testing) and API testing.
          • Experience with one or more backend automation frameworks like Robot, Arquillian, JUnit etc.
